Independent culture has got its place in society

Auro Foxcroft

I do believe strongly that independent culture has got its place in society and government and municipalities need to work hard to protect that, the art, the music, the literature, the film and all the other creativity and artistic value. That centres like this and initiatives that support this kind of work bring to our lives is vital because you have to stop for a second and imagine a world without any culture, without any literature or art or music or dancing or film and it is not a pretty sight.

Development is not all about shopping centres and chain stores and casinos and big high-rise developments. There needs to be a place left in civic society for social interaction with culture because it is vital to all of our lives.
