Nataša Serec is president of the Association KUD (Kulturno-umetniško društvo) Mreža located in Ljubljana (Slovenia) and also the fundraiser and the responsible person for all programmes and projects of the association. KUD Mreža organises cultural events (international festivals such as the International Feminist and Queer Festival Red Dawns – Nataša Serec is its founder), operates Alkatraz Gallery, runs art auctions, organizes art workshops and also manages a photographic archive. Serec is actively participating in Autonomous Cultural Zone Metelkova mesto\\\'s management since its beginning as well. Established in 1997 at Metelkova mesto Autonomous Cultural Zone, the army barracks-turned-cultural complex located in the KUD Mreža centre initially engaged primarily in visual arts projects there, but later also took over the organisation of other activities. Nowadays it carries out a wide range of activities. Nataša has worked in the centre for 15 years and was one of the people who squatted the place in ’93, and has since then been very involved. She is also Trans Europe Halles network delegate, KUD Mreža together with Metelkova mesto centre holds a membership in Trans Europe Halles, a European Network of Independent Cultural Centres.
